Poem: Thorns of Love

January 18, 2012

Thorns of Love
Alice of Wonderland was hasty one day
Crossing a threshold to a stairwell down under somewhere
To a world of whirligig wonders far away

Happy in her new Wonderland Alice stayed
Until she saw spindles grew like flowers in this place
To devour the soul of this lovely maid!

Crippled, she fled the raging thorns to the Wonderland above
To ask Anteros for help to win back her love;
As Alice was no longer safe in her old heavenly land.
